Spruce - Origin

JellyFish Frequency Recordings is excited to present Origin, the debut album by Spruce (David Falao Gjølstad), a Norwegian human/tree hybrid currently residing in Oslo. After growing up with diverse musical inputs he discovered Shpongle and then Psykovsky, both of which caused a serious reordering of thoughts and increasing clarity of purpose. Now Spruce is dedicated to the tao of music, the most intricate communication; painting the way between the contractions of gravity and expansions of centrifugal movement; pulled between the fundamental entropy and teleological novelty; parodying the auditive conceptuality-attachment; pushing the ontological buttons of inner-ear-hair-mandalas; at least trying, maybe idiosyncratic enough for non-understanding. JellyFish Frequency Recordings and Dreamtime Circus team up to re-release this rare gem of psychedelic circus mayhem from 2007! We are very pleased to announce CD’s for donation only will be available online soon at our bandcamp page and soon-to-be completed website.

Originally released in 2007 to raise funds for the Dreamtime Circus India Tour, this extremely limited circulation CD was praised as a “rare psychedelic gem” amongst some of the lucky few who got their hands on a copy.

Now, five years later, we’ve discovered another small box of discs and have decided to make them available to psy-seekers once again. The original release helped fund a circus tour in India that brought 40 free shows and circus workshops to urban slums and remote villages throughout India. The India Tour has come and gone, but Dreamtime Circus continues its work of sharing the uplifting experience of the circus with communities around the world, and this re-release will help fund the next Dreamtime Circus tour.

Luuli - Spontaneous Traumatic

Hello my name is Vyvian. I am the collection of raw energy that drives the body that is responsible for the musical project known as Luuli. I’ve been making music for a time span already. I have played several electronic music events. My music style has been described as being “alien”, “killaargh”, and “hyper-dimensional”, but to me it’s just a bunch of speaker commands. I hope when a listener experiences my music they will in some way expand their boundaries by stepping out of their comfort zones, therefore forcing their comfort zones to grow to fit their new scale. Through tools such as confusion, tension, humor, fear, and many others all fired at a fast and ever-changing pace I intend to make you feel uncomfortable… and to force your brain to try and perceive things it had never thought plausible in the audio spectrum and thus force you to grow to new levels of “being able to handle it”, no matter what “it” may be. I want to make what you previously thought to be intense now sound simplistic and innocent. I want to swell gushing tidals of emotional waves over you as I am embrace after I am abrasive. I make music for people to feel. I don’t make music for computers. I don’t make music for aliens. I make music for beautiful people to practice their freedom to or to challenge themselves with.
