Bodies

Coming up first is a brand new Axis Mundi original, blending morbidly humorous voices with clean, in-your-face bass, abstract, carefully arranged percussion and synth lines corrosive enough to eat the chrome from a car bumper. Rhythmic stutters collide with chaotic collusions to build segments of tension and release, topped off by resonant glassy pads and pitch-riding breakdowns.

One Desire

The title track to this EP is written with passion and illustrates what drives its author along his path. Galloping percussion provides lopsided rhythm while tweaked, resonant filtered bleeps and blurps fill out the aural panorama. Reverbed snares sound crisp, adding to the groovy atmosphere of the beginning. The layers and tension build up subtly, but within a few minutes, the energy is in full firey bloom.

Speck

Inspired by a children’s tale with a dimension-crossing story, this track is intended to pummel both dancefloors and egos, using touches of humore to imply a subtle message. Rhythmic slicing and elastic curtains of pads and sweeps are meant to give your body something to float on while dirty bass and low-frequency growls keep your feet and soul grounded.

Silent Enemy – Acid Violence (Axis Mundi Rmx)

Axis finishes his EP off with a bang. Having remixed Brazilian colleague Silent Enemy’s frenzied darkpsy track with plenty of his signature psychedelic sounds, beat and bar manipulations, and adding contorted halftime breakbeat intros and segments. Keeping true to the original track’s agressive full-moon mood, Axis’ remix is an attempt to put the “Acid” back into “Acid Violence”.

Several creatures ventured through the uncharted land of Derpa Psynturia. They soon encountered an ally, Hunter Talien. He guided them through the phantamasgoric land which was in constant change and shared the local delicacy. After what to them seemed like years, only a few days on Earth had passed. This is what was brought back upon their return.

The Whole Spectrum marks the debut compilation of Isotropic Sounds, a netlabel founded by Xhamanik Ritual, Crooked Mind & Abducted Brain all them from Costa Rica.

This global compilation features menacing material from producers based in Macedonia, Cyprus, Costa Rica, Britain UK, Germany, Mexico, and U.SA.. The Whole Spectrum emphasizes the dark side of psychedelic trance without being monotonous–it also contains some excursions into deeper realms of night music.

Through the use of twisted leads, brutal beats, and bleak atmospheric programming, this compilation explores the far reaches of the psytrance spectrum with some tracks approaching 165 BPM.

Juggling inherently biased conceptualizations of a random self-sampling nervous system of potential existence inevitably manifested; imbedded somewhere in the veil of polarities; distinguishing holism and merging pluralities; between wu wei and specific ambition; extrapolating nuances in yet another interpolation of infinity; nihilizing pantheism and pantheizing nihilism, etsetra..

JellyFish Frequency Recordings is excited to present Origin, the debut album by Spruce (David Falao Gjølstad), a Norwegian human/tree hybrid currently residing in Oslo. After growing up with diverse musical inputs he discovered Shpongle and then Psykovsky, both of which caused a serious reordering of thoughts and increasing clarity of purpose. Now Spruce is dedicated to the tao of music, the most intricate communication; painting the way between the contractions of gravity and expansions of centrifugal movement; pulled between the fundamental entropy and teleological novelty; parodying the auditive conceptuality-attachment; pushing the ontological buttons of inner-ear-hair-mandalas; at least trying, maybe idiosyncratic enough for non-understanding.
